Audemars Piguet has announced a new North American CEO, Antonio Seward. Seward has replaced Xavier Nolot who was at the helm for four years.

Seward, who was born in London to Argentinian parents, started his career as a Brand Manager for Bay Distributors Inc. – a regional distributor in Latin America and the Caribbean for several luxury brands including Audemars Piguet. He officially joined Audemars Piguet in 2008 as Managing Director for Latin American and moved his way up to CEO of Spain and Portugal in 2010. Over the years he oversaw the French market, and was most recently the General Manager of Audemars Piguet, Southeast Asia.

Via press release, Seward remarked, ““Working for a superlative brand while experiencing so many unsurpassable moments has made my past ten years with Audemars Piguet truly unique. My focus for the Americas will be to connect directly with our clients and implement innovative ideas in both our retail experience and distribution. I look forward to the next chapter with Audemars Piguet and sharing our vision of a brand strongly attached to its rich history yet resolutely forward thinking and daring in its spirit.”

Audemars Piguet had a series of hits this year at SIHH with the Perpetual Calendar Black Ceramic and, love it or hate it, the Frosted Gold Royal Oak. As the American market continues to grow it will be interesting to see what Seward brings to the table in his new role.
