As you may have heard (or seen), the 74th Annual Golden Globes were on television last night with a bevy of stars, sequins, and, most importantly, watches. There were several noteworthy moments, Meryl Streep accepted the Cecil B. DeMille award, a tribute was paid to the late Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher, and La La Land (starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling – swoon) swept the show winning a record seven awards, including Best Musical or Comedy. The film’s director also had his wristwear majorly on point.

Damien Chazelle beamed as he won for Best Director, and as he held the Golden Globe award tightly in his hands, it was hard not to notice a gleaming rose gold watch peeking out from underneath his cuff. The watch he was wearing was none other than the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Ultra Thin Small Second. This 40mm dress watch is only 8.6mm thick and looks great with a tux (see picture above). Additionally, this watch is powered by the automatic JLC caliber 896, which has 32 jewels and a 43-hour power reserve. This is truly a gorgeous watch and a fitting choice for such a special occasion. Bravo!

The rose gold Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Ultra Thin Small Second in 40mm is $14,000. The watch is also available in stainless steel, if you’re looking for a white metal option. For more, visit Jaeger-LeCoultre online.
