Introducing: The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Ultra-Thin Perpetual Calendar

Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar

Vacheron Constantin seems to be pumping up their Overseas line this year at SIHH with new additions such as the Overseas Self-Winding with new caliber, the Overseas with new movement, and now we have the Overseas Perpetual Calendar. The last time the Overseas featured a Perpetual Calendar function was in 2011, when Vacheron Constantin released this titanium perpetual calendar chronograph. It was one of our favorites from that year, so what does this year’s perpetual calendar do differently?

Well for one, it’s not a chronograph. Just a “plain old” perpetual calendar. The watch uses a caliber 1120 QP movement which is extremely thin (4.05 mm) and does not need to be adjusted until 2100. Although the module of this movement was developed in-house, the movement was not made in-house – which is pretty disappointing coming from Vacheron. The slate gray dial displays the time day, month, date, and moon phases. The watch comes in a 41.5 mm white-gold case with bracelet, leather strap, or rubber strap.

Overall, this is a pretty cool watch seeing as it is the first perpetual calendar (that I am aware of) in the Overseas line. For more information on the Overseas collection, check out the Vacheron Constantin website here.
